Not sure if this is the right place to be asking this but suppose I should get an animator's opinion.
I currently finished rigging a sedan style char in Maya 2009, and for all intents and purposes is easily animated and has fully automated wheel rotations and suspensions, and steering controls setup. But what I want to do is automate the rotation of the car so that the animator only has to translate the car forward and use the steering rotate control to control the rotation, so that it works more or less like a real car--where the front wheels rotate and everything follows behind it. But for the life of me can't find the right way to do it.
Anyone have any advice?

Or am I simply trying to do something that's too complicated and should just let the animator handle the rotations?
