But hey! The price is way less than you would pay for anything even close to this, and there's still a free version!

man....

folks nowadays, dont value all the hard work, and effort developers put into a pratically free program.

Onion skinning and a Light table for 45 bux you cant ask for a better deal.

If folks can afford Maya then they can shell out 45

I tried an earlier version, and it didn't impress me. Open Canvas(another small, simple art program) on the other hand, impressed me a lot.

What exactly *is* DogWaffle? Just another painting app?

i have used this app before, it was the give away version. I was very impressed with how well the paints blended together. I have to admit that lack of true layers was too much a sacrafice to use often. It is a neat program and would encourage you all to try out the demo version it is very powerful if you get the hang of it. And it is a VB masterpiece!

Well, not just "another" paint app.

Dogwaffle sports over 80 natural media painting tools
Brush dynamics like scale by speed, random pos, random size, random angle, pen angle, random hue, random sat, rendom value, bleed, dryout.
12 paint modes (including interesting ones like rubthrough that let you paint one buffer into another)
Custom brushes that let you pick up and key parts of the screen and then paint with them.
Animbrushes that let you do the same thing with animation.
Onion skin that lets you do traditional animation.
A particle system that lets you paint trees and shrubs in realtime or can be used with the stroke player for particle animations.
Advanced lense flares, warps, novas, linear and circular gradients, the linear alpha fader and more.
Drag and drop color.
Over one hundred image processing filters. (Most are designed to work in realtime, full screen!)
The ability to warp, composit, and displace one buffer by another, in realtime.
Full alpha channel support, including paint on alpha.
Video sequence retiming using morphing.
And plenty more!
