View Full Version : Copying animation in MAX from one object to another
bentllama 05-06-2002, 09:51 PM I have a character in Character Studio. I have a dummy object with animation on it. The root of the Bip [Bip 01] is linked to the dummy object giving my character forward translation...
Is there a way in MAX [I am a Maya user] to copy animation from a single axis on the dummy to the root [Bip 01] of the biped?
This is such a simple task in Maya and I do not now where to start in MAX.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Just open track view and select the keyframes you want to copy (dummy object>transform>position). Once all the keyframes are selected hit ctrl+c. Then select Bip01>transform>position (in track view) and hit ctrl+v.
Done :)
If I misunderstood.... slap me in the face and I'll get back to ya.

DOH!! Sorry, I forgot the character studio part :)
So you want to copy the animation from the dummy to Bip01... right?
