View Full Version : Animation problem: rotating on the local axis
Anton Andriesh 07-10-2003, 01:25 PM After animating a rotation on the Local coordonate system the resulting motion is deformed. What is the problem?
Thank you!

You need to change the rotation order...
Look under the motion panel and click the rotation button under PRS parameters (the horizontal one) and then under Euler Parameters change the Axis Order to whatever your axis is. Say your rotation is on the Y axis, then change it to YZX or something with Y first.
Hope that helped

Thank you! The motion is normal now but the object is changing its position after changin the Axis Order...
What is the origin of this problem?

Sounds like you might have messed with the pivot point and possibly animated it not knowing you did with the autokey?
Besides that....
Still thinking

huh.. seems to me that I have unpurposely cofused position with rotation, sorry :p . The object is changing its rotation angle.
I resolved that problem by replacing Euler controller with TCB Rotation.
Thank you!
