Hey guys

Is there any way that when 2 mesh's, poly or nurbs, intersect that at render it merges into a seamless mesh, but is still separate meshes?
I do remember something like that when i was studying but I can for the life of me remember how to do it? Any advice or help?
Thanks

I know in Max you can use the Edit Normals modifier to create the appearance of contiguous geometry via face smoothing, but that's the only "simple" way I can think of off the top of my head. All the other ways of doing it that occurred to me get stupid complicated with stuff like blob meshes or duplicate booleans and lots of fiddling...

I don't know about with polys but with nurbs in maya there is the fillet tool. If it absolutely has to be done I would fiddle around with that. Maybe you can get a good result and convert it if there is no equivalent for polygon meshes.
