Hello
I'm buying a new machine . I mainly using 3ds max ,adobe primer and photoshop. I have 2 vedio cards with my budget:
1-) old high end NVidia Quadro FX 4400 (not used)
2-) mid range NVidia Quadro FX 1700 .

I am going to upgrade for 3ds max 2010 with xp 64-bit.

go for the 1700. I just got one off ebay for 200$, and a 3700 for 300$. Just make sure the seller does a doa warranty.
I just saw the new crop of cards came out, might want to consider one of those if you really need to get a new one.
