Hi I am trying to grasp the animation basics again. I hope I can do more advanced stuff once I understand and master the basics

Here is what I have done only recently.

Spacing and Timing test.

Bouncing Ball- this is done without any curve editor intervening

Okay I managed to save one link gimme time to get the rest back up.

Okay I am referencing lots of videos but I think I am still doing this wrong. I am doing this without the dreaded curved editor.

Its not bad. There are some spacing issues though. On the first bounce its going faster over the arc than it did going up. That means that the spacing is too far apart. The arc is the slowest part of the bounce before gravity takes over and pulls it faster and faster to the ground. Pulling that spacing together over the arc will slow it down. A ground plane would be nice BTW just for a visual reference. I think you'd be better off doing a straight up and down bounce before animating anything translating in any directions. Its just gets too complicated technically, and theres no reason to make it harder for yourself especially when your learning. Its boring as hell, but the bouncing ball is really one of the most basic things you can animate and its absolutely crucial that you learn the fundamentals with it.

A pendulum with no strings attached. [pun intended]

The Pink Ball is made with the curve editor. The blue Ball is using good "old" Richard Willaim's style, no curve editor involved; just knowledge of ease in and out.

OK lets start from the bottom again, spacing...

I think you should probably take a look at the curve editor. It tends to help grasp principles such as the bouncing ball.
