really ironic that I have been in 80's cartoon model ode all this month, but anyhow, I took a break from modeling the hiss tank to talk my instructors at full sail into letting me do this battlepod for a model creation final, just finished it up today ,got about 1 week in on this one as well, I also have a vf-1 valk in the works that I hope to model well enough that i can rig it to transform but i doubt it will be rdy in time for this challenge.

here are a few ref pics i was modeling from , also had in hand the revoltech toy to help work out some of the unseen details ....

like I explained on my hiss tank post I had no Idea about this challenge so I really dont have any documentation of my WIP on this, but I will for the VF-1 I'm working up now. anyhow here is a flyaround of the model (not sure if this qualifies as a turntable since the model is static in it but hopefully it gets the idea across) and the other is a little pic of it shooting at my harley in the apt complex I live in (yeah i got bored and decided to try my hand at a little compositing)...i got some severe ADD btw lol

Thats pretty much all the turntables are supposed to be. Man you are tearing it up. The HISS and the battlepod are looking great. So are you calling this one done or is there more left to do?

thanks much, this is my first time entering one of these challenges, and I need all the feedback I can get as I am still somewhat of a newb at this stuff, only been screwin around with maya for a couple years, just got serious with it in the last few months or so by gettin started here at full sail.
as for the battlepod I think its pretty much done, I'll probably go back over it once more at least and see if i can cram any more details into it , and If the VF-1 im workin on gets too frustrating (which it looks like it will) I have some really nice refs of the interior and may try to model it into it as well. On the hiss tank I still got some work to do with the treads, still tryin to figure out a better way to make them animate-able (they work now just have weird speed consistency issues and sudden reversing of direction for no apparent reason) and a little more edge tightening on the turret section.
