Greetings, I tried several searches with Google and on here and I could not find something in the way of a tutorial for saving animation and then loading it up onto another character and doing re-targeting in Max.

Basically I have a rig with a that is only animated with 3 controllers. Waist, R_foot and L_foot. It is for a game and it is a mech so the upper torso is attached to a helper. So I only have legs to animate. I am using geometry as bones because they are doubling and physics geometry as well, and since there is no deformation everything is just constrained or linked in some way.

So I was thinking, I only have animation on 3 objects, can I just select those 3 and save the animation? Then load the animation up and re-target? Sounds easy enough, but the re-targeting rollout on the load mapping is a bit confusing to me.

Any tutorials on this somewhere that I might have missed?

Thanks
