Hello everyone, this is an idea I'm considering for an animated short. The scene was originally created for the "Enchanted Forest" challenge but I'm trying to finish it for use in animation, or possibly just paint it into a good illustration. In these 2 images I used Painter and Photoshop to try to get the scene to look more like what I want for the animation--the trick will be getting the actual LW scene to render like this...hehe.
Version 01-daytime (http://www.3dzukini.com/art/Swamphouse2.jpg) Version 02-Night time (http://www.3dzukini.com/art/Swamphouse3.1.jpg)
The story I have tentatively planned is that this old, wizard-looking person comes through the swamp with a bag in hand. Then he/she goes inside and sits down at an unfinished canvas. When the bag is emptied lots of bright, contrasting flowers and plants pour out and are used to make more paint. The interior of the home is so drab and dull that the painting looks like another world(something like "What Dreams May Come") the wizard takes the painting upstairs and puts it in the wall of a huge dome room...it's the last piece to finish the wall. The wizard taps his staff on the ground and the environment becomes real. The wizard runs around excited in his new world-his hood falls down and his old face starts to become younger...just then he runs into an invisible wall and falls down. As he's getting up he's actually still in the dome room and the magic didn't work....
It's just a concept now, but I may begin storyboarding the idea.
