Hiya,
I like to show you guys an 8 second animation test I finally finished. However I'm having trouble finding a way to compress the original clip through Quicktime Pro without looking washed-out while keeping a minimal size.
Here's some screenshots of how the original looks like:

The original size was 383Mb then I used these settings to compress it to about 1Mb:
Compression: H.264
Quality:High
Bitrate: 1000kbits/sec
Frame recording: yes
Encoding mode: multi-pass
Dimensions: 924x520 (Current)
I've tried other Compression Types, but they all seem to give the same washed-out look too except for Animation, Jpeg 2000, None, and PNG. But the video size using those 4 compression types are too large to use.
This is how it looks after its compressed:

Bluuagh! Does this normally happen to everyone or am I missing a step? I want to make the compression look as close to the original :P
Heres a link to the animation. Comments are welcome :) http://lobsterbrain.com/dog_small1.mov (http://www.lobsterbrain.com/dog_small1.mov)
