Title: Gina
Name: Jiwon Kim
Country: Korea (South)
Software: Photoshop

This is my friend 'Gina'

I've finally kept the promise that i will paint her portrait for her birthday present for now. the promise made up from last year. I've found many new techniques for paintings myself. I started to paint in wrong way, so i took a bit more time than i need to. All jobs had done by Photoshop CS2, I hope you enjoy!

Great work! A very professional portrait should I say. Just a tech question, how did you painted the background and dress patterns?? By hand or using vectors, copy&paste shapes and stuff like that?? It looks done by hand, like a oil painter!

First I tried to painted it by hand, i did it but it messed up because the patterns are not corresponded. so I use copy and paste. but it looks too degital, right? Then I painted on it to make nature and tradition feeling. I hope it would answer well for the question.

great piece. I bet that background design was a b*&#$ to paint (major "ouch" for your hands I bet). everything looks good and in order, but her dress sort of flattens her (namely due the pattern design, very geometric and hard to show values and shadows). great effort here. I'm sure your friend Gina will love it.
