Hi all,

I just wanted to know if there are any good CG animation books out there that cover other areas of animation rather than characters.

I have that book, excellent. I was also privileged enough to attend one of his seminars :buttrock:

I was looking for a book that covered more areas of CG, particles and effects really...

My favorite crutch to this day remains "Tony White's, the Animator's Workbook". There used to be a version of it online I thought... anyway, that cat rilly breaks down theory into simple junks that even I can sorta grok. There's a bit in there that's 2d specific, but practically everything else factors up to 3d pretty well. On amazon there's a list of other books that folks bought when picking up TAW.

...he's got website up too. www.tonywhite.net

peace d=^)

*EDIT: Doh! didn't read your question as clearly as I had thought. (I wonder how many times that's happened?). Nevermind  END EDIT*

If you're interested in animating particles and such stuff you should buy some of the Gnomon DVDs or tapes.

They're realy handy.
