hmm, dino's design is somehow odd-looking, it doesn't match wit the rest of characters IMHO. animation is top-notch, but the last scene...<Cartman's voice> weeeak man... :)

It actually looks better than the second one...

The only thing that bothers me about that trailer is that retarded voice, nearly every film trailer has it, nearly every film trailer has the same stupid cliche comments.

The films looks good, i dont think i will be going to see this though, i've never been into the whole Ice age series, too plain.

The last Ice Age movie was horrible. The character design gets worse and worse.

Please liberate Blue Sky from Fox and let them do great things. They have great talent there, but to their story dept and/or whoever develops/pitches their movies... please go, move on... :)

From a business sense, it's perfectly logical to make IA3, 4 and 5, cuz it will make tons of money.

I exagerate to get my silly points across :) But in all seriousness, Blue Sky movies look great, the animation is amazing, etc. But the stories are sub par. Therefor I demand a new Blue Sky story dept ;)

Big words for a student. You're not seriously judging someone's opinion based on their post count, are you? Wow.

tho everyone's entitled to their own opinion, still...there has to be a limit...for someone to trash someone elses pride and joy and hide behind the convenience of anonymity is a bit...mmm how do i describe it...Wow(?) i guess...? anyway, since i'm still a student i guess my opinion doesn't count as well.

You're a student, I only have 50 posts and we both are entitled to our opinion. My opinion is the Blue Sky stories/premises aren't that good, to say the least. You disagree. Let's move on shall we.

Hahaha, I kinda like that. See, a Blue Sky movie about ninja trolls would be SO much cooler than IA3.

Ehhhhhh....he's actually correct? Fox frequently holds back Blue Sky from achieving their full potential; not only in their storytelling and film making, but also stupid things like not letting them release art books.

Who gives a hoot how many posts he has in this place? What does that prove? :surprised

I am a big Blue Sky fan, and I think I have seen that trailer. It's on traileraddicts.com The ostrich/ice gag made me laugh out loud. I am definitely looking forward to this, despite the average at best Ice Age 2.

LOLERCATS!

totally agree with you though, I enjoyed bits of the first Ice Age and only the bits with Skrat in the second one.

I also agree that Blue Sky make movies that LOOK great, are animated very well but the stories they subject me to are boredom inducing, why-should-i-care fests.....but I did enjoy Horton apart from that kangaroo.

And as for the arguement "Well don't watch it then", isn't that the point of making a movie? To be watched and enjoyed and open to criticism?

i personally enjoyed the first Ice Age, the second one.. not so much. this third one looks like it may jut be a massive joke fest with an average story line.

and didn't the mammals come after all the dinosaurs died? lol

the first one is the only one i saw. the second one didn't really interest me that much. the third one looks ok, but i think i will wait till it comes on dvd.

Post counts mean nothing here and for anyone to say something like that is not only making the rest of us look bad but makes you look immature. Look at it from the other end, it doesn't matter if you are a student, professional or educator - if someone said that to you when you just found this forum wouldn't that kind of irritate you? Hell it irritated me and it wasn't even directed at me. That's all I am saying about that.

As for the movie.... thing that doesn't make sense at all is that dinos died off 65 million years ago. We saw humans in the first one. The second one made sense with everything melting. This one is just weird and makes no sense. Who am I to judge though? I most likely will see it anyway because I love Scrat. I know Fox dictates what movies are made but Blue Sky needs to change and I will hate to see them go down the same path as Dreamworks and release sequals of the same series.

Either way my opinion means nothing in this world so eh I don't care.

i only emphasized his post count and anonymity in response to his trolling...i should've ignored it but oh well...too late.

yep...but saying how crappy a movies "story" is based on a trailer...? i didn't even know you could do that.

Ehhhhhh....he's actually correct? Fox frequently holds back Blue Sky from achieving their full potential; not only in their storytelling and film making, but also stupid things like not letting them release art books.

i wouldn't know anything of the inner workings or politics involved, but i'm sure regardless of the circumstances...a group of people worked on it with the objective to make it as entertaining as possible...since that's the whole objective of any film. so making blind remarks about an entire story dept. based on a trailer. good or bad, at least have something to back it up...but in mr. CC's case, he couldn't even if he wanted to...since all we saw was a trailer!1ONE :D

anyway, apologies to everyone for hijacking this thread for no reason. apparently i was being a troll...and i didn't even know. :D

Maybe you were the perfect ninja troll?

Hijacking this thread a little further, am I the only one who would be genuinely interested in a movie about martial arts fighting mythic creatures? That could be a whole new genre, like in:

Karate Centaur

Jiu-Jitsu Fairy

Capoeira Unicorn

Judo Witch

Kickboxer Kelpie

etc.

I look forward to see this movie with my 5 year old son. He loves the other two, as do I, maybe little low on the story end, but hey, target group is kids of today, spoiled brats, short attention span etc.

Great clean and balanced animation/rendering. But I missed the last trailer, anyone know of another location?

Thanks for that link circusboy, hadn't seen that! Hilarious. The sure put a lot of work into their shorts.

As for the movie, yeah, a bit of suspension of disbelief is required, with the whole dinosaurs after the ice age thing. Seems kind of a risky thing to do in the first place, storywise...we'll see.

is it me or the compression, but the render doesn't look the same than the 2 overs ?

I kinda wish Fox let them go on their own after the first Ice Age. Blue sky has the talent to create original works that could trump Pixar IMHO. Instead, they had to bust out Robots which reeked of studio exec pop culture jokes and then Horton, an adaptation. Obviously the Ice age franchise is the money printer.
I'd like to see someone say "Bluesky here's a blank whiteboard - go nuts"!

The lighting's definitely better than the first two.

Nice job guys! (Eldar, doot!)
