Hi all

I've done a search on CGtalk but I couldn't find anything that helped my situation.

I'm trying to get Mapy 2.5.6 to work with Maya 2009 on windows but I have no idea how to install it.
We are currently using Linux at school with Mapy and Maya 2009 but at home I use Windows.

This was the instructions that came with the Mapy file

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
mapy 2.5.6
/*
Features:
1. Connects to maya via any script editor.
2. Automatic selection sender (Like Maya script editor)
3. Fully Supporting of MEL and Python scripts.

Installation:
1. Add this folder to environment path.
2. Add this folder to your PYTHONPATH.
3. Add these lines to your userSetup.mel file:
*/
//----------mapy Settings----------
python("from mSet import *");
python("mapyPort()");
//---------------------------------

/*
Usage:
2. Setup your prefared script editor to use with mapy.
for more information check rodmena.com/mapy

--------------------------------------------------------

I don't know where the enviroment path thing is and also not sure for the PYTHONPATH bit.
I did add the mapy settings part to userSetup.mel, and that was pretty much the only thing I did.

any help will be much appreciated

Thanks.

I have problems with new Mapy version as well! :(
It just won't talk to my Maya. Maxya works.

Say.. Isn't there a way to use the darn commandPort through putty or plink too?
I know I made it work once. But I don't know how anymore... :/
