my minion concepts thus far...these are OUT there wishful thinking with the poly limit to 10K.. but i might find a way to make it work... Less is more in this case.... I really want three attached to her marionette artifact.

nice silhouettes so far. 2nd one gives your concepts feeling, i'd go on with that. looking forward to see more progress..

yes i plan on taking some of the more "powerful" parts of the second version and then add them to my favorite version C.

Good to see that you put some work in on your concepts - really like the look of "C" and "E". Also like "F" cause it has an oriental-ike feeling to it. The pose you have for the 2nd page of concepts really gives life to the concept. I would try sticking to this type of pose and design but would also try to integrate some of the elements of "C" and "E". Keep it going!

Nice progress - really like the upper right sillouette. I'm imagining a big jet-engine/turbine type power source on his upper left shoulder. Also like the large scimitar hand. nice touch!

some minion ideas i like.
A. might be too techy for a golem ..this idea is a Longshot
it might break the rules too...not sure.
B-C are marionettes I really like. It took a while to hit on something that i could get excited about. both have Eva evangelion inspired plate /ceramic heads and bodies are a combination of plate, chain mail and tattered cloth.
D. maybe a Giant golem made of plate-mail?
E. ? i dunno about this one.

quickie sketches are coming to an end soon
going to model sheets this week I'll be glad but first the junk golem from a early post needs to be ventured into before i go with the reanimated drones.

Nice concepts - like them all but especially the last one. Something about the structure and shape of it really fits the scene. Good sense of scale with the addition of the character.

wow dude, i dont normally post outside of Game Artisans but i really dig the image with the exploding parts. with some nice glow maps for the strings of the puppets this could be a killer entry. i like the asymetry to the one puppet with the big shoulder, very steam punk. have u thought of a detailed pass at the concept for the pupeteer? i see alot of quick thumbs and shilouttes but not too many detailed renders. just curious. neat idea man!

So with all that's going on.
Wife is out of the hospital yay!! :):applause:
PC tablet caught a really bad virus had to reinstall OS and software work came to a screeching halt.
Both cars are in a semi working condition ... cars are the bane of my existence right now.
still; I got my character painting practice in and i am grateful.
next the head and then her tools.

my model session for tonight.
extrude modeling always gets me something to work with quickly when it comes to organics.
I'll get the rest of her body and head done tomorrow hopefully infact most of her .
look forward tp getting her to z-brush.
I'll need to schedule some junk minion time to.

Good start on the base mesh - looks like you're almost done with the character. The form and silhouette is spot on in relation to your model sheets. Hope to see her done soon.

a lots going on personally so i have little time to waste.
that said..this is the fastest body mesh I've done
5hrs for the base cage 1,873 tris thus far
my projected count will be in the mid 3's me thinks

I know... I KNOW...so so late; why bother?...finish what you start is a good lesson to live by ???
Still, learned more than I thought I would in the period of time I did have to attend to the subject.
However duty called, work before pleasure and all that stuff ...but honestly I just stumbled into a once in a lifetime opportunity where all else fell to the wayside.
Wish i could speak more on it but i cant for about 50 more days.

Even though you wont finish this year, the work you did get done has been some of your best yet. I can tell that you learned alot of new techniques and skillsets that will definitely aid you in your future work and personal projects. Trust me when I say that I totally relate to "life (& work) getting in the way"
P.S. - This is too good of a concept to not finish - I want to see it done at some point! ;)
