I have a friend modeling this alien in Lightwave and giving me a .obf file.
I created the skeleton and smooth binded it to 3 versoins in layers in Maya.
layer 1 -> straight out of LW without smooth.
layer 2 -> smooth level 1
layer 3 -> smooth level 2 (for close ups)
Question 1) Am I getting the same interactive speed or features of using the sooth polygon option in Maya?
Question 2) Can I create UV Maps and joint influence on the lowpoly version and reuse it alright?
