View Full Version : SubD's to Nurbs
chudofsinister 07-08-2003, 10:59 PM Is there a painless way to rebuild the patches of a nurbs object to organize the surface after converting from SubDs without going through Patch by Patch rebuilding CV's and then stitching. Any good tutorials on this.

You could try a global stitch although it's rather slow. Other than that I think you would have to do it patch by patch.

Without ahving tried it I would say it may be a good idea to chop up the sub-d modle into major sections first and then do the conversion.. this will help maya to not go too crazy a sit will when making the conversion. If th emodel is character then chop the arms, legs and head fromt he torso and then the resulting patches should be relatively tame.
