Ok I am kind of past newbee stage (only slightly :-)
Anyway I am ok at nurbs modelling now. I never touched poly. I need to learn texturing in more depth.
My question is- I am using Maya 4.5 (moving to 5 soon) is there any of these DVD's that is kind of redundant? I mean for example the rendering ones are they still a good buy?
Considering built in Mental ray for Maya5? I mean will I be wasting my time and money on something which can be done easily on Maya 5?
Anyway here is the list of DVD's I am thinking of getting -
(http://store.yahoo.com/gnomon-store/maytraindv.html)
Polygon Modeling, I: Basics
Polygon Modeling, II: Subdivision Surfaces
Texture Mapping, I: Materials
Texture Mapping, II: Textures
Texture Mapping, III: Projections
Texture Mapping, IV: Polygon UV Layout
Texture Mapping, V: Advanced UV Layout
Rendering, II: Shadows
Rendering, III: Light Effects
Rendering, IV: Light Fog
