Wait, why is he being interviewed by THE-AREA? Was Unity bought by Autodesk? Did I miss the announcement?

We were looking to interview something game-related to coincide with GDC -- a game developer or even game engine developer and Unity fit the bill.

Wouldnt be shocked to see that happen considering how well unity works with autodesk products and the evergrowing iphone and web game market.

It's only a matter of time it makes a lot more sense for them to buy unity more then XSI ever did, Autodesk have been buying lots of middleware lately and have been pretty open about wanting to be more dominate in the middleware industry.

They don't have a "glue" app yet so unity we be a perfect choice unless they are cooking up something internally.

It really just depends on if they want to sell...

I don't have anything against Autodesk, but I'd rather some healthy competition be established before the 500lb gorilla takes a seat at the table.

I can't imagine too many current Unity users sticking with the program if Autodesk owned it.
