View Full Version : Hole in One - A short film inspired by the Gods at Pixar
roald 07-08-2003, 09:33 PM Hi. I have just finished my first attempt on animating a human figure, and my first movie which is longer than 10 seconds.
I know that it looks a bit "under water" at the moment, but don`t know how to get rid of this look.
Here it is, Hole in One (http://colition.net/roald/HoleInOneXvid.avi)
Im also making a small homepage for the short. It is located here (http://home.no/rollol) (In Norwegian though)

C&C anyone? Please

I'd like to give the shot a shot, but it won't play for me...What codec did you use?

Thanks, that work fine!
As for the models: I like 'em.
As for the animation: IMHO, pretty good, although a bit stiff at times, even for an old man ;)

Hehe, halfway through I thought, "aw that's sick!" but the ending was surprisingly good :)
I too think the animation is a bit too stiff... An old man may walk slowly, but he does "roll-off" his feet, right now they keep horizontal, which is a little odd. Try it, it's very hard! Now try to walk like an old man, and watch your front foot: your foot slowly rolls off!
Apart from that, pretty damn good for your first real movie!
I would use a different kind of music though, because it's just too Pixar-like with that jazzy kind off music (in a bad way). They may inspire you, but try to develop your own style a bit more!
