Latest progress: FINISHED

Finished. here's the illo, concept and modeling sheet.
I feel like participating in this was time well spent, definitely learned new things. Assuming there will be DW5 i hope to take part in that too with (hopefully) better skillz.

-------------------------------------------------------

Thought i'd try my hand on this...
so i'm starting with this rough sketch. not sure if it's final yet but it's something.

it's a machine/cyborg. might add more hard surfaces.

ok worked on it some more.
changed pretty much everything. i still want it to be a killa ninja cyborg.

ok decided to go to different direction... i also did a "valkyrie" type character but some other person was already working on something similar so i scrapped it.

i might include the little scout machines in the final illustration... dunno if it's allowed though.

I love the motion in the first two pics, but the concept of the last one is very nice!

Hi bara, nice concepts! As far as the scout, "pets" are allowed for all races. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments...
I did couple of rough sketches of some variations of this centaur.
Then i went back to the original design and started refining that. it's probably the final, can't spend more time fiddling with designs i think.
Also did a sketch of what could be very much like the final illustration... and some other stuff. i wanted a similar feeling to a lion or a tiger, wild and aggressive.

will now move on to doing a concept sheet and turnarounds.

The modeling sheet looks very good, and the design of the scout is just perfect for this character.

working on the illustration now... i'll post some wip later. i did a bunch of sketches for poses and ended up with this one.
there will be explosions, debris flying in air and (friggin) laser beams.
