Yesterday I was brainstorming with my fiancé and he came up with a great weapon for a pixie... I don't quite know how it's called in English, but basically a dart-blowing tube that is also a flute

Hi again

Here is what my latest efforts yielded. First, I wanted to re-design the wings so that she doesn't look like a demon, being a pixie and all. I found a compromise I like between faery wings (which I thought might be tacky..?) and something a little more earthy.
To the right is the mannequin I will be using in the following sketches to design her costume. I liked the original belt but she is still pretty naked...heh. Time to find a few scraps to dress her up
I am also in the process of designing the magic flute

Really nice progress!! I think the faux hawk, works great on her and compliments her mischievous look, which i really like. I also think the pose of the mannequin looks quite cool and flowing.

I like the idea of the leaves-like look and I like their shape quite a lot, but there is something that doesn't quite work for me. maybe it's the fact that the hair and start of the wings blend too much together. is that intentional? In any case, I think this is a better way to go than your previous more demonic like wings.

Also what is her size? maybe a size comparison will clear that up.

Great job so far and keep it up!!

facosta - thanks for your comments, much appreciated... I think I would like the hair and fur at the start of the wings to be separate, and separate colors too; I'll have to sketch that some more to make sure it works. Either the hair turns into that fur, which might be fun, or the hair just cascades and stops, revealing that fuzzy part.
Good call on the size comparison - I'll be sure to include that in my next post. She would be about 2-3 feet "tall" :P

Once I have a few more I will setup a website for sure - I have been drawing professionally for a few years now and a good part of my work is under NDA so I need serious homework :P . Hi MarianneM, very good first sketches. I'm glad someone finally decided to do a pixie/fae, cause demon numbers just keep growing and growing. No crits so far, everything looks neat!
