Can't really remember Aeon Flux apart from the fact that the body proportions were all crazy and way out - which is pretty much what you've managed to capture. There's something not quite right about the face although having only seen her in 2D before, I think its difficult to make a 3D representation without some level of artistic license. Maybe the eyes not big enough? Good effort though nevertheless - what's the end plan for the model?

yeah, she's really hard to make 3d...but to your question about the end plan-

im going to animate her in some live footage that i am going to have done. I am working with a partner on this just for fun mainly. for a challenge. we haven't finished storyboarding yet.

hmm this is a hard one to crit....but i guess i would have to start with the face....you can see in the above links that she has a longer more slender face....

then her shoulders they seem to broad...there is to much "mass" to them if that makes any sense...

the legs need to be longer...and more wirey....

she is supposed to be about sleakness and a certain...elegance...
she is a very mannurist peice of work and should look quite good when shes done

but you still have some work to do

keep up the good work and hope to see more up dates soon

Patricia,

Nice model, it looks very similar to the cartoon.

I'll be watching for progress.

What class number are you?

pbleingea if you watched the show i know you ahve. aeon flux the charcter, its been so long since i have seen that im guess that is her name. but she is very linear, your model is really smooth, if that is poly gons i would keep it rough and not smooth it, she should be jagged looking cause they rarley draw smooth lines for that show. thats just my opinion though. ..BUT-IM-RIGHt!

At the moment, I think colours are slightly off if you're basing it on the images posted by chi earlier - in those ones her skin was more orange and her suit was a lighter shade of purple with a higher glossiness. IMHO the two hair things she has sticking out might also need to just curl round that extra bit more as well. But you're getting there! :)

i was looking at the drawings by the artists, aeons eyes are not that big, i would shrink them down some and the one pic i saw her hair was more long and thin on them two strands that stick out, thats all i have noticed so far but excited to see this get done.

latest update. I narrowed the eyes a bit, narrowed the hair a bit, and changed her colour a little bit.

its looking better, i think the eyes look like she is squinting still though. there really big i think. that drawing is aw of her she has normal proportion eyes. i would work on that the hair looks perfect i think. since its a cartoon, why not have her skin like a regular color, i don t think you need all that shading gradient on her skin. im sure it would look great just a skin color, the suit i wouldnt change, sorry these are just things i would do .

yeah the eyes are squinty. having a little trouble with them. they either look to big or too small....i'll work on them more. i like the idea of leaving her skin one color. i'm gonna try it.

thanks!

well, i was just thinking of the show you know. aeon didnt ahvelike painted colors onher, it was just 2 colors for skin. that is all i was thinking.

anyways, i changed the skin to one color and widend the eyes a little bit. do you like it better than the textured version?

hey pgbairianinaaa

in that pic her face is ver feminent. "cant spell" the eyes are proportional to a real persons i think. nothing is really exageratted. i would look at that pic, i am sure there are a ton of other reference pics online of her. and i would model to that cause your model looks fine, but then after i saw that pic the face really dont match sorry, i hope you realize what i mean.

for the skin, i do like the less darker version, but i was meaning just like a blinn shader with a skin color on there. 32 44 412 or whatever haha. like if i was doing her i would even do like a toon render, i would only because she is a cartoon i would nt try to make her real especailly aeon flus that art style just is so not the norm, i wouldnt try.

pbinga

the last pic i posted actually was just a blinn shader. but i'll keep working on the face.

thankyou
