View Full Version : HARDCORE MODELING!: 80's Cartoon: Count Duckula
Kjello 03-21-2009, 11:10 PM I really wanted to model Obelix for this one, but alas that would be 50's and not 80's I think. Therefore I'll settle for Count Duckula instead:cool:
Here are some reference images:

Starting to get somewhere on the head now. (Was gonna post this yesterday, but got tied up... not literally)
The shape is still a bit rough, but I think the structure is getting there.

Its comming along nicelly, maybe you can have the hair and head as separate objects. Its almost like its that way in the original drawing and will make it more ease for you to make the hair a little bit more accurate.
It needs to be longer, curvier in an "M" shape, and it needs a little bit more depth i think.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback, LMB. I think you're right, having the hair and the head as one object forces me to compromice too much, either on polygon flow or on shape. It will be far easier and quicker to model the hair separately.

I agree with the hair. I would also add the comment that the forehead looks like it should be flatter. From your ref it appears to be so.
