Well as the title says, im currently working on my last project for college and
in a scene i have this tree. :Phttp://i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv327/Firith_Estel/Tree01a.png
Which is supposed to animate a bit, showing that it has
just been created (from around 70-100%). My problem is on how to texture it since the animation is done in the loft modifier and therefore the branches are excluded from the unwrap i have on it.
My idea is to copy+detach faces from where the branches start, model from that and use unwrap on each branch. and after im done animating the main tree, ill morph a bit the branches and then have them attached on the main model.
I hope my English are understandable..
Anyway im pretty sure it will be a mess, and ill have to do a complete new texture for the final model :P.
Any tips & techniques appreciated.

If you built the branches from lofts, the branches should already have good uvs on them (assuming you turned on uvw mapping inside your loft), and you shouldn't need to unwrap them. Or maybe I misunderstood the question?

The problem is more on how to connect the branches with the tree, without being obvious that they are seperate models actually.
