this scene is made i 3dsmax 5 and rendered in vray, the textures is made in photoshop and the grain also. i know itīs a quite simple scene, i just wanted to make something realistic, and this is the result :rolleyes:

for me simple scenes that have atmosphere can't be simple due to their expression etc.
so i like this one, too - your pool balls seem realistic and i love the texture of the pool table silk. :applause:
but one crit: the light set up could have been more brighter, i don't think that anyone can play with those in lighting environment like this.
if you tried to make a shot of a closed pool hall where the tables are not used, so you achieved the goal.
though from me -> :thumbsup:

No, it's not. Maybe your one is too bright. :rolleyes:
I like it, it is very realistic. I assume you MEANT to create this as a pool table that isn't being used because obviously if it WERE being used the light from the overhead would make this all a lot brighter.

Nice one!!! Nice DOF. You could've done without the grain, it spoils the silk...

i like the "dark" feel to it... it creates a nice atmosphere. all you need is a freaky head/character kinda blurred in the background. hehe,, thats what i would do

Looks very nice. I think that the light setup is good. It reminds me of the pool table in my friend's basement. I also think that the grain is a nice touch. It gives it a nice photographic touch. Good work.
