I agree with Lightcache, I myself have been trying to rush and put out stuff but after checking out other forums and ours It has pushed me more to push my concept and play with more ideas as opposed to just shooting to 3D and getting sick of the character. Besides, we have the coolest logo!

I found this one through the polycount spythread, this concept is sick. Sooo glad hes doing 3d, phew. So 3d guys heres some motivation to push your concepts even more further!!

We could need a critique thread, where people who arent getting the harsh critique they need can post their work. Crits are so important in the concept phase..

Agreed. A critique board where combatants with few critiques in their threads can post individual pieces of artwork for additional crits is a must.

Taking ques from the cgtalk.ru website I think it would be very wise to make two different sub-forums for this, one for 2d exclusively and one for 3d exclusively.

Of course people who are entering the 3d category can post their 2d concept art and modeling sheets/whatever in their 3d threads, so long as the final entry will be 3d.

Doing this would alleviate a lot of congestion with threads, and allow some threads to remain on the 1st page longer to get more exposure, and make it easier to manually look for your own thread to update, or look through other threads.

Organization is the key says me!

I am also with you guys, cannot understand why is that people only commnet only on the most known artist or friends. This is my first challenge and i thought that the reason to post a WIP , was so people will comment and critique and guide you in the process of making your painting. I am not only talking about me, but the many new artist that posted and nobody critiques them.

I totally agree, it seems that people only reciprocate on a person that has posted in their thread, and a lot of people that really need the critique get left behind while the most popular artists get flooded with comments (mostly nonsense).

Im about to start the challenge and im really going to try to give my advice where needed, and i hope someone does the same for me because god knows i Really need the help lol.
