Hi! I tested PMG v.2,5 but I saw the current version is 3. Is there any big difference between their renders? Because I was enable to take too much from v.2,5.
• Also can I render 2d sprites with shadows on planes but with invisible plane receiving the shadow only?
• Can't figure how to render smooth objects instead of flatted. Is it possible?
• Is it possible to save creased edges?
• The licence is with dongle?
If anyone can provide some info will be gratefull :arteest:

Yes, radiosity in version 3 is supranaturally fast and (mostly) noise free. The renderer got a significant upgrade with 3.0.

Yes. You can turn on sub-patches by loading an object, selecting it, and tapping the Tab key on your keyboard. FYI messiah does not like 5+ sided sub-patch objects.

To enable surface smoothing, go to the Render tab, Surfaces sub-tab. Select an object to set it's rendering flags (shadows, seen by camera, etc.). Click the + icon next to an object's name to show it's surfaces. Smoothing can be enabled/disabled per Surface.

• Is it possible to save creased edges?

Don't think so.

• The licence is with dongle?

You betcha! So you can easily take your license to work, friend's house, etc. There's none of that stupid hardware-locked licensing crap.
