Hello 2d WIP forum!
I think that I have posted here once or twice before, but never with anything of my own.
So anyway, here's the story, I'm a modeler, never delved into 2D for more than textures, and even they, it's not like they were hand painted, simple photo manipulations (not that that's a bad thing). I decided yesterday to finally go out and get a Wacom tablet, I got it late at night, so I only really had time to screw around with it and get used to it, loved it right away though.
Today, I decided to actually try and do something relatively useful with is and decided to do a paint over (or at least that's what I'll call it, I don't know what the term would be). So I took an existing image that I didn't think I would mind staring at for a few hours ;) and pretty much just tried to paint over it.
I spent the day doing that and these are the results (I would like to stress again that this is really nothing more than a trace). Also, she is pressed against a wall, I just didn't want to have the original image so I would be critiqued on only my work and I have no idea how to even begin to do the hair.

Oh, I should probably mention, I don't intend to start doing really and 2D work, but I have been a little gimped when it comes to developing concepts for the 3D work I do, so I plan on taking a little time and getting a bit better at this 2D stuff.
Keep in mind that this is really my first ever painting in PS, but also keep in mind that it's a paint over, and with that.
Any and all crits/comments would be much appreciated.
Edit: After seeing the pic with the black background I just noticed that the back is smudged a bit too much, I didn't notice when it was on the real background, try and ignore that, I'll fix it ASAP.
