Title: Laputa-gear city once was in the sky
Name: Cecil Kim
Country: USA
Software:
Personal Piece I did for a tutorial book coming out from Korea.
Inspired by Gears of War art Direction and I wanted to bring in some of the serene settings we can see from Miyazake's films.
It was somewhat challenging since I wanted to use same flat brush to paint the architecture. Any criticism will be much appreciated. Cheers, Cecil

love the colours and brushwork, awsome sense of scale as well :)

Nice work, good mix of these two visual styles.

very nice technique overall. good structural details. however, I feel like this is out of perspective, possively around the area near the waterfall (it looks off). the shape of the structures feel a little weird too, since their contours are three humps, which doesn't help speak about a personality or feeling for the place. keep it up, though. Your painting techniques are very strong.

The quality of painting is very good, i like the concept too, however a little depth is missing. Anyway nice work!
