View Full Version : DWIV - 2D - Jove - Norm
This is my first time entering DW so feel free to tell me If I'm doing something wrong. Oh, and any crits or suggestions appreciated of course!
I'm not sure on what Class to go with but I'm probably going to do a Norm at least. So, silhuette mindstorming!

5 looks really interesting! That would translate into a cool feathered, leather armor style invoker.

epic joinage man :) 5 and 6 look very interesting! more! :D gl!
@ leviathon: Thanks, It's one of my favourites this far
@ erik_j: Thanks man
More silhuette action, I think I found a format I like working with here, doin both male/female versions of each design so I'll probably keep doing this for another week or so before deciding on which direction to go in.

Dile1482: Thanks man, I wish I had more spare time to put into this!
Sorry on the sporadic posts guys, drowning in work  I'm closing in on the direction I want to go with the character though:
I think it's time to leave the thumbnailing and start doing some sketches

wow the final concept is looking awesome! :U the shoes, the clothes, hair, gun etc :) it's gonna rock balls! be careful with that left arm not to get caught in the power arm trench though :P tssk tssk
@ erik_j: Haha, thanks man, here is a update for you, I hope it's not to power armish :S

loving the more realist approach. Ya should play around more with the armor texture i think. right now its on the same kinda texture as the jacket.
Hot snap ice action by the way <3
keep up the sexy.

Its looking pretty sweet! I think you could incorporate some more of the iceyness into the character (providing she uses primarily ice magic) such as makeup. Also, I think you could push the face more, making it look a little more otherworldly.
I love the flintlock pistol, and the tentacle hair though! Its really coming along!

last sketch is nice! i feel vor-rath has a point about the iceyness feel for the character, but it can also be other way.. the dress more in contrast with the magical powers so that he didn't want his magical powers to be revealed to others until the time came when he had to use it.. either way will work
waiting for updates

looking awesome! :D I love the clothes! blond tentacles will look really cool aswell! :)
I'd maybe work a bit on the shoulder pad though to make it less cliché looking. and how does it attach to and to what? with that bearing hinge-like attachment? it could just extend from the upper arm perhaps since the clothes wouldn't hold it in place? the arm armour on the lower arm looks a bit odd too :)

Good design :) It nice to see a somehow well-dressed character for a change ;)

hey, really like your colours and character - loving that self assured look on the face!
think you could exaggerate the pose and bring in those ice powers, maybe? nice claw hand pose with the air freezing around the power? could reflect the powers with a sparkle in the eyes...?

i really like the last image.. looks awesome.. u may wanna play around a bit more wit here clothin style.. dont knw y but i feel her clothes r not matching according to her powers,.. jst adding a few ice elements might help.. and maybe u can have the entire forearm made of ice or crystal.. just an idea.. good going so far..
