Hi,
It's the first time I join a challenge with CGSociety :).
I'm going for Storm Shadow, and I'm still working on the body base mesh. As you can see, my reference is a G.I.Joe toy.

Slowly but nicely. All quads :).
The head and hand still need some work, but I think I'm done with its topology.
I still need to work on the edge flow of the body and work on it's muscle shapes. I should be ok to begin ZB at the end of the week, but I don't know if I will make it for the deadline :( .

I worked a lot on the head/neck/shoulder, and I began to pull out the shapes of the arm. I want the anatomy to be as accurate as possible on the low-res mesh, so I used photo references to find the right forms and connections between them. It's still all quads :).
I had a lot of work to do on rebuilding/thinking the edgeflow of the neck/shoulder area.
This is a great exercise and study of the male anatomy and quad modeling.
Maybe I would have had a better workflow if I kept it simple in 3DS and tweaked everything in ZB, then build a low-poly around the hires mesh with a good low-poly edgeflow, but I feel I'm gonna be able to push everything further this way, even if I may not be able to get to deadline :(.

Good job Bud!
I definitely like how you tweaked the edge flow. It's looking a lot better.
Can't wait to see those straps and belt region modeled more in detail. The boots look a little boxy, but i'm assuming you'll deform that in z brush to your liking.
Keep up the great work... looking forward to seeing this model completed within the time delay, you can pull it off i'm sure
cheers!

Hi,
I started to work on the accesories, but nothings ready for post yet.
I used materials to show him in colors. No mesh smooth yet. The screen grab is done with Shader Model 3.0, so it looks smoother.
I think I still need to tweak the hand before I send it to ZB. And maybe the pants needs more volume (its ninja pants, you know. ..).
