One of the things we have been testing in the beta is a whole new translucency type called scat. Very powerful stuff. I just thought I'd tease you with a render. I can't embed flash animations on CGTalk or I'd show you what it looks like moving. For that you will have to swing over to the more official stomping grounds.

great stuff!
Is there something more You could possibly share with us about the new release?
fbx support, animation improvements, release date? :)

cheers

Pretty mind blowing stuff on the animation side. I'm excited.

Will you be able to reveal any more news soon? Although not all at once. Delayed a bit like Luxology is doing. Makes you think about the software all week, since your waiting for feature updates.

Delayed? I. . . don't know of any release dates on the books or anything ever set in stone with software releases. I'll see what else I can leak about it.

Wegg,

I think he means revealing little hints and such over time...to keep the interest peaked and building.

Best,
Rick

Impressive! Very nice indeed!
What is the render time for this?

Less than a minute a frame on my fairly old machine. I built a little octopus character just to show it off to you Thur. . . but then I got distracted with some other new feature. LOL. I'll have to dig it back up now that I know your alive and well. :-)
