View Full Version : What are these "ghost joints" on my skeleton?
JaredTaylor 03-17-2009, 01:49 PM Hi, please look at this picture and tell me what these white joints are? they generated themselves copying other joints that were made from the root joint :/ I can't select them.

What do they do, why are they there, etc?

I think u hav imported skeleton from some other software may be from motionbuilder. Dis extra bone is nothing but a dummy or null type object which is created wen u import some bones from other software.
Thanx,
Suri.

hello
open outliner and right click and uncheck dag objects , this will show u all nodes in maya
than please find the root bone and go and track it's connections
another way is open hypershade and select root bone, then load up and down streams and look at connections between nodes, selecting nodes in hypershade will select objects in scene
if you can take a screen shot and post it here so i can help more
thanks
