I model the body and arm separately, "attach" the arm to the body. Now I can't seem to understand how to weld the arm to the body. I have no corresponding vertices on the body for the arm; Im really just confuse Im not even sure if I model the arm or upper body correctly. Can someone help me before I screw it all up.

thanx

The easiest thing to do is to fit it as best you can:

Turn on vertex snap only (by right-clicking the snap tool), and select each vertex seperately at the end of the arm, snapping them to points on the shoulder and side you believe is about right. Once you have an approximate "snapped" arm, you can then go about adding extra edges to attach the arm correctly.

Just make sure you delete the faces at the end of the arm and the faces where the arm is attaching on the body before you try and weld them.

Oh, and remember, screwing something up in 3d is not like screwing up a sculpture! Just makes sure you save multiple iterations of your work!:D
