This is my very first challenge (of any sort) ..you have to start somewhere, right?

There was a Popeye cartoon in the 80's, to my understanding, but as he has been around since long before that, I'm not sure if that discredits him as a choice.

I'm liking this as a reference:

I'll upload my first WIPs, just as soon as my FTP stops being a jerk..

In modelling this, though, it stikes me that, Popeye was a very unfortunate looking man!

Since 1929 actually.. this year, it did enter public domain in most countries.. ( no more copyrights) It was a comic strip.. but was a tv cartoon way before the 80's

I have no problem with this going into the voting thread if you can find
and New for its day, cartoon of Popeye from 1980 to 1989.

If not, when voting day comes, I can spotlight the entry, butpeople will no be able to vote for it.
