Yah.. it's a big camper sniper gun to kill a lot of zombie from Demon'hell or just a little mech that would want to enter the Norm's City ahahahah:buttrock:

I've created a little story but more a description of my character:

It's a lone wolf scout/sniper.

His gun unleash a powerful plasma shot that can go through any armor or demon flesh.

His armor can made him almost invisible but more like a chameleon. With this, a radio/echo/radar is installed on his shoulder to detect enemy. all this is transmitted to his visor.
he can see in thermal/nightvision.

His gun his incrusted with magic runes so the power is even more powerful.


I will write a little story later...

Concept of his body armor...
His armor is like skin shape... that's why we see the muscle..but it's only design.

don't know for the moment if i will use the sniper rifle or a melee weapon

I've begin to do my modeling.. basic shape 1432 triangle.. need to redo my boots..
i hate doing that...if someone has some hints to help me!

not finished for the body too...just the beginning!

New concept that i've made .
this is almost what the basic will look like...maybe some texture will be another color...but in the general it will be this.

dont know for the head for the moment.

more will come

Here is a new update!

basic meshes with some colors to separate the objets.

it's just the simple mesh before continuing in Mudbox.

im now at approx.4000 triangles.

Hey mate ! nice concept youve got, if youre making like a base mesh to take into mudbox I would advise to take out all triangles, ngons and stars(youve got some around the biceps area) also Id sugest making the polys as "square" as possible even if that doesnt matter so much if your just bloking out shapes. And if it is a base mesh put as many polys as you like :).

euh I'm a little newbie so..explain why I could use as many polygons that I want and why I need to do only quad and not triangle?

i need to advance in skills so... help me :)

Hey mate Well because if its only for a mudbox or zbrush pass the polygon count does not matter really youll be subdeviding it alot in thoses programes and you can then export a high resolution model form mudbox. Then from that high resolution you can build "over the top" of it a low poly model (and only at that point will the tri count matter).

As for the quad thing its for the subdeviding, if you add a turbosmooth to the model you ll notice that its pretty distorted around the areas that are no quads. This will be much worst when you work in mudbox. :)

Now Im pretty sure that that was giberish and not at all clear so its probably best you have a look at this

Observe the way his base mesh is, and that its not the same as the final low poly model.

already i know.. just want to be sure of which parts will be saw at first!

if you have any comment or tips...I'm open! and I need them!

I don't know for the moment if i will do a sniper or a double blade with a pistol.. it depends of the amount of poly.

Wow!! I love the design of the character. Some things to consider for the presentation shot.

The camera angle to the guy looks fine but the cameras angle to the base looks to extreme like your looking down at it. Does this play with anyone's eyes like it does mine.

The other thing I've noticed is that the background color is so similar to the character. I suggest lightening it up a bit and maybe even overlaying a texture of some sort to separate the character from the background.

Other that that good job. As for the crit I feel the same way. If you have time I could use some on my shots as well.
