Sup there everyone,

I was wondering how to animate an object to revel it's texture...

I mean..... like it doesn't exist and I can animate it appearing from no where...

like that startrek teletransportations you know? when a guy disappear from someplace and appear in another place..

I can do it with transparency, but I want to do like it was a mask.

but I'm not making any strat trek teletransports... I'm just making the walls of a house appearing...


Can any one help me?

This is really something that you could do easier and with greater flexibility in post. After Effects or Digital Fusion would be excellent in this capacity. Still, if you want to do this in LightWave, Fi's Shaders will probably work for you:

And if you have Worley's Polk collection, you can do animated reveals like this one (http://www.trinitymediainc.com/Temp/act.avi) .

If I recall, there was also a post awhile back that covered how to do this natively in LightWave. Try doing a search in this forum.
