View Full Version : Questions on my weightmaps

'Ello!

Well I've been tinkering the heck out of these weightmaps, and I'm sorta getting what I want but I can't figure out how to map the vertices near where his torso meets his shoulder. I can't figure out how to get it to look right.

Here's my LWO and LWS files, if you could look at em that would be great.

I'll also post my FBX file for those of you with Motionbuilder, so you can see how it deforms.

weelllll darn. went to work for 3 hours hoping when i got back there'd be an answer.

Not sure why you have an extra bone in the shoulder for, to me that just seems to add unnecessary complexity.

But concerning the weights, basically what's happening is the armpit area is moving into the body. To combat this, try making the weights in the armpit area stronger for the body weight, and weaker for the arm weight.
