im probably not the first to find this out, but i found it useful
to chamfer an edge into 3 (very important for poly+nurms modeling if you have never used it) i found that if you use extrude edge and set the extrusion height to 0, you can use extrusion base width to set the size of it
i like this better than the meshtools one because it was always hard to get an exact value with that.
