Awesome drawings. I have to agree, I like the warrior chic too. Seems to have more character and presence.

Nice sketches here. By the description given by gameartisans I'd assume that an Invoker would prefer to be more lightly clothed/armored to allow him to move more freely. Just the impression I get from the Invoker class description is slight frailty, since he/she is largely focused on destruction magic and the manipulation of his surroundings. He'd want to be able to move freely to get the most use of his environment, dodge incoming attacks, and (assuming this were part of the whole thing) access spell scrolls/books/do any hand movements necessary with the least chance of interference from his clothing.
Then again this is just MY feeling. It's looking cool so far.

yeah, I also like the her (the one in your second sketch), shes got the right feel and it's only a first try. It would be cool to see you build more on that, I'm sure some good things will come of it. Maybe with more of a power feel, I get the impression of a scout or tracker with her...but that's also cool. keep it up!

great drawings! I would love to see some non-human characters from you. I particulary like the character in the orcish armour. Good luck!
03-18-2009, 12:21 PM
Enjoying these sketches :)
03-18-2009, 06:27 PM
Really nice sketches. I think I like the one on the second page, bottom right, it has a great feel to it.
03-19-2009, 06:57 AM
wow~i like your concept so much!!
03-22-2009, 01:55 AM
Here's my latest.. playing off the above sketch... but I wanted to do a woman and not hide her face...
also wanted my character to be able to fit through a doorway, so I'm trying to keep the armor light...also going for some sort of glaive weapon...
I think Ill stick to this general direction and continue to iterate on this design...
03-22-2009, 02:15 AM
wow~beautiful sketches~dynamic! i like the arm design of the latest~
03-22-2009, 03:11 AM
You went for a badass chick, awesome!
03-22-2009, 04:14 AM
Nice entries so far. I really like the helmet of your first character. Strong design that looks cool.
Good choice on keeping the face of the girl character visible, your eyes will definitely want to go there
Keep up the good job man!!

03-25-2009, 10:50 PM
Heres the latest... keeping it B&W for the most part and starting to define details....still lots of work to do and design to iron out...added a splash of color to help get my point across...
the hand weapon will have some sort of blades on it.. at least thats the plan.. we'll see.
