Hi,

the new baking weights feature in "skin" is great but now i ran into a big problem.. The characters on our current project are unfortunately on a rdiculously small scale and once I load the weighting back on its all mashed up! (especially on the smaller bones).
Is the accuracy of the back dependant on the scale of the mesh? Is there a way to fix that problem? Unfortunately I cant just scale the models either since were pretty halfway through production :(.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please understand that some semblance of order needs to be kept here. I'm sure you can understand that. No offense was intended.

As far as your question, I honestly don't know the answer. I noticed you work for Lionhead. If you are halfway through production, then you are in a real pinch. We've all been there.

Let me contact a few people more geared to rigging using skin, and I'll see if I can get them to come over to this thread and help troubleshoot a solution. I'm sure we can figure this out.

Thanks now i feel alot better ;).

I reskinned the damn thing anyway but to be honest i just think its a maxthing. Probably they save the weights on a map (as far as I know thats how its done in maya) and you cant set the size of the thing at all.

And with the model being so damn small (god knows who made these scales up - theyre from the first game) its probably bleeding into each other. oh well, **** it, reskinning wasnt such a big deal after all :).
