A while a go, I did a job for a short film, and posted the finished clip (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67574) in the gallery section.
I later decided to make a comprehensive case study of how it was done, so if anyone is interested, have a look (http://home.sol.se/anders_e/AE3d/nocturne_casestudy/nocturne_casestudy_p1.htm).

Excellent effect! very well done!! the lighting on the hand and the motion of the particles and smoke are very convincing..
And the explination of the effect is very insightful.,., were there other shots like this in the film? i'm curious to see how else her imagination becomes interactive,.,.

Well, it's just a 12 minute pilot, so I don't know if they're planning any more fx shots in the feature film (currently in the script stage afaik), but this was the extent of my work in the short film anyway.
I do hope they get funding for the feature though, and that it contains more fx shots, and that they get a big enough budget to hire me and give me some proper dough for my work though. I won't do something like this for virtually nothing again.
