Hi,
I'm still learning XSI and need some help.
I want to apply a kind of Use Background shader to an object like in Maya in order to make it block objects behind it and to be considered as transparent in the alpha channel too. How can you do that in XSI ?
I need it because I have to re-render just one object in my scene to composite it later with the other elements.

Thanks in advance.
I'm sure it is mentionned somewhere in the doc but I can't find it.

There was a rendertree setup that might work I'll post if I recall it again or one of the render gurus here will know it. Perhaps try the reverse of this tut that Oz Adi put up. sorry I haven't tested it for alpha channel:
