View Full Version : Eyes & Corneal Transparency in 3.1

Hi.

I’m trying to make a simple two-part eye in ZBrush that is basically a sphere within a sphere. The outer sphere is transparent and the inner sphere is white with painted iris and pupil. Iris is concave. How can I improve this? How can I control transparency, refraction and caustics on my ‘Lens’ shell? Am I trying to re-invent the wheel here? Or is there a tutorial on eyes for 3.1?

My big problem is the corneal transparency. It always seems foggy.

Thanks!

I think that this is possible in zbrush, but it sounds like a bad idea. The program is really just a power boost to full 3D applications. You should make, and render the eye in some other app, and use a standard sphere as a placeholder in zbrush.
