View Full Version : Digital painting
HBlaauw 01-14-2002, 05:51 AM Hi guys,
I'm new here and would like to
know what you think of one of
my first digital paintings. These
were done for Nike, featuring the
2001 Springbok Rugby team...

hi and welcome http://66.70.72.50/forums/images/smilies/wavey.gif, now I have to say this is damn impressive, the muscle structure is remarkable, the only thing that bothers me is that his thumb looks broken :( , I'm not sure what it is but yet looks odd. other than that the color scheme and everything is nicely detailed..
I would hate to play rugby with this dood :D

I agree. the thumb is set at a bad angle. Also, that forearm is rather out of proportion. Tell him to stop with the forearm curls already! =)
Also, Im not quite sure as to what a rugby player would be doing in that environment. Looks rather rugged, not a place likely to have a game of rugby. =\

Thanks for the crit guys. Yup, that
thumb looks a bit dodgy....
The brief called for a background like that,
the client wanted a wasteland where the
next big battle would take place. Our
team were up against Australia & the
Kiwi's.
Thanks again!

'Its unfortunate for you that the Kiwi's will kick your bum'
Ja, ja......we'll see. With rugby players looking like
that, the Kiwi's are going to have a hard time....!
South Africa's going to kick butt this year!
....hope so.....
