What would you guys compare this too? Not froma syntax perspective but as far as flexibility and power?

for me, MEL is more like C without structures and pointers...

What does it mean to compare application-specific languages based on flexibility and power, but not syntax?

For example, it kicks ass all over UCSD Pascal on the Apple II+, but not if you're doing something other than 3D graphics...
