View Full Version : AutoUV Character UV?

Is there a particular way one should go about selectioning off a character?

I ask because I can never get my UV maps to look the way I want.

Anybody have tips on UVing a lowpoly character? 100 Polygons. I'm going for about the amount of detail that is in Warcraft 3 characters. When Trigulated it is 216 Polygons.

None organic objects seem to work fine, it just getting a body to un fold or project(?) out right.

What areas should I mark off? What parts should I mark together? Fold or Projection? Should I use Wings3d to do this (as I have been) or should I try

Any Ideas would be great.

That atleast gave me new direction of experimentation.
