View Full Version : 100% opacity on alpha maps

Im having trouble with my alhpa maps as they dont seem to be 100% opaque. Look at this image, the opacity map for this image is black and white. Black for the opacity and white for the thin strands.

Yet the black (opaque area) is not completely invisible. In the materials editor it is set to 100%.

I am stumped as to why it is not 100% opaque.

It is one of your other settings probably, show us a screenshot of your material settings.

They are 100% opaque. What you can see are Specular highlights. You can set the Specular Level to 0 or if you want to have highlights but only on the Hair you can also map the Specular Level.
